The Riviera is a commercial wet lab, life science facility located in the Innovation District of Pittsburgh, PA. I worked with the Burns Scalo marketing team to brand the property to attract top life science and biotech companies throughout the country to this newly-developed, state-of-the-art facility.

Branding
The logo is simply the name of the facility set in the Univers typeface (don’t worry, there is no ‘e’ in Univers). I made this decision to establish a sense of simplicity, cleanliness, and professionalism due to the life-science and biotech audience that would be interacting with the brand. This also enabled the opportunity to create type lockups that include the unambiguous and direct collection of taglines I created, “Innovation Happens Here,” “Life Science Happens Here,” and “Cancer Research Happens Here.”
The visual language includes an abstract helix-like pattern and a few variations of a gradient background including colors from the brand palette. All of the visual elements are designed to complement the theme of life science and biotechnology without trivializing the type of work that was being done at the facility.
The Riviera Look Book
This book was designed as a marketing tool to help brokers sign new leases in The Riviera, a newly-developed, fully wet-lab-capable office space in Pittsburgh, PA. Included in the book are the amenities, available spaces/floor plans, and informational pages outlining the HVAC specifications needed for life science research labs.
